CONCREaTE
The purpose of this design guide is to give the participants guidance on how to design their Deck type & Through type Truss Bridge, and insight into the philosophy of both the challenge and the rules.
The participant would have to design the structure using Popsicle Sticks (Ice-cream Candy sticks) and Fevicol only.
The competition aims to design the bridge using principles of structural engineering, which can sustain maximum load under predetermined conditions.
Materials :
Only Popsicle sticks and white all-purpose glue (Fevicol) should be used which will be provided by organizer.

Specifications for Bridge:
To prepare a bridge having a span, 24” resting on piers/columns which would be provided by event organizer, using given 100 popsicle sticks and glue in time frame of 2 hours 30 minutes such that it can support maximum load until failure.
Total span of bridge: 24”
Clear span: 18”
Deck width: 4”
Minimum clearance above deck: 3”
Maximum height of cross-section of bridge: 4”
Small tolerance in the above mentioned dimensions would be accepted.

1. Each team would consist of maximum 3 participants and the time provided to complete the task is 2 hours 30 minutes. The deck is to be designed using only maximum of 100 popsicle sticks.
2. A & B in fig (b) is column space so below it structural arrangement could not be allowed.
3. Only Popsicle sticks and glue will be allowed during construction, no any other materials would be allowed even for suspension or as cables.
4. No more than 50% of a plane side of a stick may be glued to other sticks. (i.e. 50% of each side of all sticks must remain unglued)
