Description
Town Planning has been a concept adopted from the time man has begin to live. Town Planning can be seen and observed in age old civilizations like Mohenjo Daro and Harappa. Man has been living in groups and for communal living it has settled in tribes and groups which later developed as town and cities. Cities have been a part and parcel of human life for almost last two centuries. Since the industrial revolution and development of new techniques modern towns and cities have been developed.
This event comprises of a Model Representation of section of a city. This event helps to understand different ideas and concepts, as well as the model explains different criteria of town planning and basic principles of city development.

Materials
Following materials would be provided:
1) 2 general sized Thermocol sheets having thickness 35mm
2) 2 general sized Thermocol sheets having thickness 15mm
3) 1 general sized Cardboard
4) Fevicol
5) Pins
6) Straws
7) Colour papers (Colouring/Painting materials other than colour papers can be brought by participants)

Specifications
The section of city should atleast contain following:
1) 2 Residential complexes
2) 1 Skyscraper
3) 1 Bridge (Over river or Flyover)
4) City should be developed on a riverside or hillside
5) 1 Public building (Such as Bank, College, Police Station, Fire Station, etc.)
6) Roads should be clearly visible

Judging Criteria
1) Concepts of Town planning used.
2) Environmental friendliness of city.
3) Maximum criteria covered.
4) Minimum material wasted.
5) Maximum amount of work completed in 3 hours.
6) Good aesthetic view and elevation of city.

Rules and Regulations:-

1) Each team would consist of maximum 4 participants and the time provided to complete the task is 3 hrs.
2) Tools required for cutting are to be brought by participants.
3) No extra material would be allowed other than provided at event spot.
4) No excess material would be provided other than specified.
5) Each team will have to construct according to dimensions provided in specification chart and also any
type of damage done to property may lead to disqualification of the team.
6) Final decision will be authorized by event judges and shall be binding to all.
7) At any time the rules can be updated, without any prior notice.
